While it is a hard read, and I say this due to the subject matter, My Silent Cry: A Voice Unheard is also a very powerful read.
The book opens up with the fun summer adventures of a young Apollonia, but we are quickly met with some horrible people from her past.
The author then navigates us through a tale of a spiraling mind after her childhood is abruptly stolen from her and takes us through the levels of self-realizations.
It’s the kind of story that, while it is a page turner, it really gets under your skin while also managing to be encouraging to anyone who may have faced the same troubles.
I won’t pretend that it is a painless read, but I would highly recommend it.
I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

This book is a touching account of what so many suffer through each day. I found the author to be very courageous in sharing her story after so many years. Although, still finding herself maneuvering through the emotional challenges years later, her story is one that hopefully encourages others that healing is possible and certainly is a process but you have to seek the help that is available.
